This years concept of HAWAK KAMAY, FORAC CAN OF HOPE...A DIRHAM FOR ENZO was launched yesterday Feb 26.The beneficiary of this event is ENZO,a two year old DEAF Filipino boy.He need a COCHLEAR IMPLANT to be able to hear again.The cost of the surgery is Dhs 216,000. FORAC came with the idea of just asking for a spare coin, because of the present economic crisis that putting the weight to most of the Filipino families in Dubai.We will distibute 500 CANS OF HOPE to friends,relatives and individuals who wish to help ENZO.The CANS are not intended for public display.It will be privately circulated. The COUNTING DATE will be March 26,2010.The place will be announced later.Several Filipino Communities and Filipino Schools confirmed their support for this project.Hopefully because of the overwhelming response from the people ENZO will be operated after the event. The launching were able to distribute 305 CANS.FORAC CAN OF HOPE...A DIRHAM FOR ENZO campaign formally starts Feb 26 and ends March 26 2010.The launching will be the IGNITION POINT of this project. The CHARITY ROAD TRIP to Al ain yesterday Feb.12 was able to raise Dhs 6,000 from the estimated 600 people who participated.It will be given to the RED CRESCENT SOCIETY on Feb.14. Its not only the money that FORAC was able to raise but also the happiness it has given to our 600 fellow Filipinos is considered and achievement of the group.They were able to reach Al Ain for Dhs 50 and visited three tourists sites,The Mubazzarah Park, The Jebel Hafeet, and The Al ain ZOO.Transport and refreshment included.The dhs 10 goes to HAITI. FORAC also manage to help Al Ain in their promotion of their AL AIN WILD LIFE AND RESORT. All of our guests saw the famous White Lion in the Al Ain Zoo. We are thanking all our Kababayan who always trust and support FORAC.We will assure you the transparency of all the fund raising that we will do by emailing to you the scanned copy of the receipt of the benefactors. FORAC once again proved to be an off-road club with compassion,a club with a history of making events for the benefit of others. Dubai Municipality and Hobbies Club on its second year have initiated Desert Environment Protection Campaign 2010. Tapping the services of Desert Lions Offroad Academy in partnership with FORAC, we joined hands along with well established Off Road Clubs in UAE for promoting AWARENESS in protecting the Desert Environment. |
